Sekání
louky bylo řízeno pokyny přes vysílačku a dalekohled z protějšího
kopce. Na svahu, dobře viditelném z velké části vesnice, byl vyměřen a
vysekán starý, již nepoužívaný a zapomenutý symbol Krakonoše (místního
ducha či pána hor).
The
action happened on the Sešup hill in a village Horní Maršov in Krkonoše
as a participation of project Open museum. The topic was about
Settlement.
I was working with information about original "chalet-farming" as
important landscape-shaping element. The meadow was its base regularly
pastured and mowed. Local legends were coming up in the same time as
traditions and way of life in close relation with specific climate here.
Nowadays inhabitants of this originally Sudetenland locality haven´t
any special conenctions to the local history. In the same time this
peripheral area is still connected with problematical identification
of residents here.
Mowing the meddow on the hill was controlled through the walkie-talkie and field glasses from opposite hill.
The
old, nowadays forgotten and unused, symbol of Krakonoš (- the lord of the
mountains from those old times) was measured and mowed on the meadow.
The place was well visible from the village.
